Brae Fearann's cross country course currently offers three levels: entry, pre-training and training. The courses span across acres of rolling hills and include a wide variety of challenging yet inviting obstacles. Jumps are located in open fields and tree lines and 50% of the jumps on each course are built at maximum height. Nervous parents, grooms and spouses will be happy to know that the land on which the cross country courses are built was designed to allow spectators easy viewing of the entire Entry level course as well as many of the PT and T levels jumps. For more information on the cross country courses, see the Horse Trial section of this website.
There are also two large fenced grass rings that can be used for schooling on grass, warm up for dressage or for the stadium portion of the Horse Trial.
Our barn, originally a dairy barn that housed close to 100 cows, is being extensively renovated into a horse barn. Currently, there is a five-stall private section with a 12 x 12 wash stall, a tack room, and a feed room and five permanent show stalls added in the main barn to accommodate summer boarders or clients during clinics, lessons and shows. We hope to add an additional 5 show stalls in spring 2008.
In addition to the riding rings at Brae Fearann, one can also enjoy miles of hacking incorporating both open fields and scenic wood trails.
For additional information on stabling, footing, general farm rules, etc. please see Horse Trial page of this website.
